Dr. Adrian Franco, DMD

Meet Dr. Franco, your dentist from day one.

Dr. Adrian Franco, DMD, brings together full-service dentistry and a boutique patient experience in the heart of South Miami. From checkups and cleanings to single implants and full-mouth reconstructions, he takes the time to get to know you before he picks up an instrument, and he places every implant himself.

Born and raised in Miami, he explains every recommendation in plain language. If you have been looking for a dentist you can trust for the long term, you have found the right place.

  • Your dentistYou see Dr. Franco, from your first exam to your follow-ups.

Dr. Franco is the only dentist in this South Miami office, so choosing a dentist here means choosing him. The person who does your first exam is the person who explains your options and sees you at your follow-ups. When a bigger question comes up later, you're asking someone who already knows your mouth and your history.

  • No judgmentHowever long it's been.

Haven't been to the dentist in years? Dr. Franco never wants anyone to feel embarrassed walking in, even if it's been 30 years. He looks at where things stand today and explains what he finds in plain words. There's no rush, and you can ask anything, in English or Spanish.

  • Comfort firstNumbing first, and sedation if you're nervous.

If dental anxiety has kept you away, tell the team when you book. Dr. Franco numbs the area before treatment, and oral conscious sedation is available if you're nervous. That's the sedation dentistry offered here, and he'll go through it with you so you know what to expect before anything starts.

Care for every smile, in one office.

Dental implants

One tooth, several, or a denture that snaps in place.

Learn more

What is a dental implant?

An implant replaces the root of a missing tooth, and a crown made by a dental lab to Dr. Franco's plan replaces the part you see. Nothing is attached to the teeth next to it.

Dr. Franco is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI) and uses BioHorizons implants. If you're anxious about treatment, ask about oral conscious sedation when you book.

Your first visit is an exam and X-rays, with a 3D scan when the case calls for it, so the plan is built on the bone you actually have. You leave with every option explained and each step priced in writing, whether or not you book.

Full-arch implants

A full set of fixed teeth on implants.

What are full-arch dental implants?

When most or all of the teeth in an arch are failing, a full arch of fixed teeth can sit on implants. Four is the standard. Dr. Franco aims for five or six where the bone allows, so the arch has spares.

Dr. Franco is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI) and uses BioHorizons implants. Full-arch treatment is a big step, so if you're anxious, ask about oral conscious sedation when you book.

It starts with an exam, a 3D scan when the case calls for it, and a straight answer about how long each stage takes. You wear temporary teeth while the implants heal, and the final teeth come after.

Porcelain veneers

Thin porcelain, shaped and shaded with you, for the smile you want.

Learn more

What are porcelain veneers?

It starts with an exam, X-rays and a conversation about what you want to change. Shade and shape are planned with you before anything is made, and a trial mock-up can be worn over your own teeth first, so you see the plan before you commit to it.

Then the teeth are prepared and a dental lab makes the final veneers to Dr. Franco's plan.

Cosmetic dentistry

Whitening, bonding, crowns, inlays and onlays.

What is cosmetic dentistry?

Whitening lifts the shade of the teeth you already have. Bonding can repair a chip or close a small gap. A crown rebuilds a tooth that has lost too much for a filling. Dr. Franco tells you which one your smile actually calls for, with the cost of each.

Every change is planned with the whole smile in view, so one repair doesn't stand out from the teeth around it.

Clear aligners

Clear, removable trays that straighten teeth step by step.

Learn more

What are clear aligners?

Clear aligners are a series of removable trays, each one moving your teeth a little further. Crowding, gaps and teeth that have shifted over the years can often be treated this way.

The plan starts from a 3D scan of your teeth, and you see it, with its cost, before the first tray is made. You take the trays out to eat and brush, and wear them the rest of the day.

Restorative dentistry

Fillings, crowns, bridges, root canals and dentures.

What is restorative dentistry?

Dr. Franco shows you what's wrong, what the choices are and what each one costs. Small problems get small fixes.

Crowns and bridges are made by a dental lab to his plan and shaded to sit quietly beside your own teeth.

Preventive dentistry

Exams, X-rays, cleanings, gum care and oral cancer screening.

What happens at a checkup?

A new-patient visit is an exam with Dr. Franco and X-rays. A cleaning can be added at the same visit if you're due for a regular one. If your gums need a deep cleaning, that's planned separately.

The exam looks at where things are today, and the plan starts from there.

Emergency dentistry

Pain, swelling or a broken tooth? Emergency appointments, often the same day.

What happens when you call

The team fits you in as soon as they can, and Dr. Franco explains what happened and what your choices are.

If a tooth can't be saved, you'll see every way to replace it, including an implant, with the cost of each, so you can decide in your own time.

Questions people ask first

How much do dental implants cost?

It depends on how many teeth are involved and which option fits, so the real answer comes after an exam. You get a written plan with every step and its cost, whether or not you go ahead, and the team goes over monthly payment options with you.

Do you take my insurance?

PPO plans, including Aetna, Anthem, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, Delta Dental, Dominion National, FEHB, GEHA, Guardian, MetLife, United Concordia and UnitedHealthcare. Tell the team your plan when you call, and ask about your benefits.

Do you offer financing or monthly payments?

Yes. Monthly payment options are available, and the team goes through them with you at your visit, before you commit to anything.

Will it hurt?

Dr. Franco numbs the area before treatment, and oral conscious sedation is available if you're nervous. Tell the team how you feel when you book.

Can I be seen today for a dental emergency?

Call (305) 665-4448 and say it's an emergency. The team fits in same-day emergency appointments whenever they can. If swelling is spreading or you have trouble breathing, go to the ER.

Do you speak Spanish?

Yes. Most of the team speaks Spanish, so you can ask every question in the language you're most comfortable with.

How long do dental implants take?

Healing usually takes a few months, and it varies from person to person. Dr. Franco checks the implant about two weeks after it's placed and again at three to six months, and he tells you the timeline for your case before you start.

Am I a candidate for dental implants?

It comes down to your bone, your gums and your general health, which is what the exam looks at, with a 3D scan when the case calls for it. If an implant isn't the right fit, Dr. Franco will tell you what is.

What's the difference between implants and dentures?

A denture comes out. Full-arch teeth are fixed to the implants and stay in. If fixed teeth are not the right fit, a denture that snaps onto two to four implants is another option, and Dr. Franco walks you through both.

Veneers or whitening?

If you like the shape of your teeth and only the color bothers you, whitening is the simpler route. If chips, gaps or shape are part of it, veneers do more. The exam settles it.
